Before you try to load your UTV into the back of your vehicle, we advise reading our helpful hauling tips below! If you’re in need of any UTV accessories or replacement parts, feel free to visit us at our location in Mandan, North Dakota.

Vehicle

Before you make plans to haul your UTV you’ll need to check its weight! This can be found in your owner’s manual, and you’ll need to compare it to your vehicle’s suggested towing and weight limits (also found in the owner’s manual). If your UTV’s weight is more than your vehicle can handle, you should not haul it. It will very likely damage your towing vehicle and you may even end up breaking down on the road.

Tools

Before you hit the open road, you’ll need to gather a few helpful tools to make sure your trip goes smoothly. You’ll need wheel chocks, anchors, and tie-down cords to keep your UTV in place as you drive. If your vehicle isn’t low to the ground, you’ll also want a set of wheel ramps to help load your UTV. Lastly, if your vehicle doesn’t have a big enough space to hold your UTV, you may need to buy or rent a trailer.

Packing

If your vehicle can successfully haul your UTV, or you’ve decided to rent one that can, you’ll need to bring a few specialty items along. For your safety, we advise bringing along an emergency kit with first-aid supplies, as well as a few tools in case your UTV suddenly breaks down. You’ll also need to pack your helmet, and any other gear you wear while riding.
